2nd Online trade mission to Japan

On February 24-25, Ukrainian manufacturers held productive B2B meetings during the Online Trade Mission to Japan.
The Mission was attended by small and medium enterprises, including Liqberry, Honey Podolia, Ecorod, SMART FOOD SOLUTIONS, Dionis Honey LLC, AgroPatriot, Svoya Pasika, All Star Sauces, Natural Honey LLC, Ikryaniki, Nuts-trader, Gulfrost, Amethyst Ole, UPG-Invest, MAR pumpkin seeds, GFK Ltd. Also, among the participants were large Ukrainian companies. A total of 27 companies joined the Mission.

Ukrainian manufacturers participated in 47 B2B meetings with Japanese importers, including key players in the industry, including Sumitomo, Toyota Tsusho, Toyotsu Tsusho, Takara Shoji.

Conclusions and observations:

📍Sweets, honey and snacks – in the list of top inquiries from Japanese importers.
📍The Trading Mission was held under the slogan Consistency Pays Off, or “Consistency pays off”. For 90% of manufacturers, it is already clear that waiting for the result “today – for tomorrow” is not a working approach in the context of Ukrainian-Japanese trade relations
📍We conducted a preliminary analysis of the results of the Mission and talked to the participants of the Trade Mission – most manufacturers have confirmed their desire to consistently move to the first deliveries to Japan!
📍Online format – today remains the most effective means of communication with new partners. Online is not the preferred format, but participants are getting used to it.
📍Technical side – the web platform worked as a whole effectively. There were working moments in which the efforts of the COIN team always allowed to quickly find solutions for the planned B2B meetings.

Response of the Trade Mission participant:
“After the event, we saw Japan’s interest in our salmon sticks. For this money they received reliable information about demand. Previously, they wanted to monitor through bloggers but realized that through the Online Trading Mission – more reliable and cheaper. We were not mistaken, ”he shares his experience
Iryna Lapa, Commercial Director of PE “Snack Club” (TM “Ikryaniki”)
